Four for Friday

Okay, here is some music to get your weekend started right.

Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out // “I am done with my graceless heart, so tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart.”

Coldplay – Paradise // Very Coldplay-ish, which is therefore very awesome-ish.

Wilco – Art of Almost // I like Wilco, but they are mostly on the fringe of my musical taste. With their latest album, they have moved a little closer to home for me. This song even had some Radiohead-like moments going on. That’s a good thing.

Ryan McAllister – Music for a Rainy Town // Rainy town indeed.

Later.

  1. Hey Taido, just leaving a message to say hello. I came across your blog this morning by searching for images related to Ezekiel…I found that you blogged some stuff on “bible in a year”. I’m doing a bible-in-two-years blog for my church in Glasgow, Scotland. We’re reading Don Carson’s notes (For The Love Of God). I thought your comments on Ezekiel were measured and helpful. Nice blog: I hope you’re enjoying writing it. I like your graphics for this “four for Friday”.

My Ezekiel post is at http://transformingpeople.wordpress.com/2011/09/22/ezekiel-damn-well-listen/

    1. Hi there. Glad you dropped by. Yes, there was some inconsistent blogging going on that year. My post on Ezekiel made it in before things started sliding. I believe your two-year approach is the saner, wiser, and more fruit-producing thing to do. Carson was one of my NT profs when I was at Trinity. Haven’t read the book, but I’m sure it is great. The man is super-human.
Naturally, I read your Ezekiel post and really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more.
May you and yours be richly blessed in the journey through the Scriptures.
